Hi Everyone!
Hope you all have been doing well! Today it was really cool out, only a high of 66! So all the windows are open and the breeze is blowing through.
Here are a few pictures from Mother's Day when we went with the whole Fox clan to a lovely garden about thirty minutes from here.
See how big Owen is getting?!
The man picture :)
Owen is SUCH a pleasure! He's been so happy and content. He started laughing for the first time this week. Today I actually found myself having a fleeting thought that I hoped he would spit up on his outfit so I could change his clothes and get him dressed again. Of course, my next thought was, what on earth am I thinking?! :)
Before we had our third baby, I was a little worried that my attention and love would begin to be spread thinner between them. But, I think it has actually made me love each one more and enjoy the baby phase more. Sure, the days can be long and completely draining, but I love them each so much!
I found some bikes at a yard sale a few weeks ago and we repainted them with some paint colors that the boys picked out. They were really surprised to see "new" bikes in the garage. They are already champs at riding them.
All five guys that dwell at our house. Including Oscar. :)
Can only take so much excitement for one day.
Angel face!
We've gone strawberry picking twice so far. I think we've picked about 22 pounds in all. Half went in the freezer and the other half into jam for this next year. We go through a lot of jam in a year's time with all the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! I'm hoping to go picking at least one more time before the season is over.
Warning: do not try this at home while toddlers are awake! :)
Blake and Seth-isms for you...
Me - "Hey Blake, was Seth asleep when you went to check on him?" Blake- "I think so, I heard quietness in my room. A LOT of quietness."
In an attempt to ward off anticipated dislike for the morning's breakfast I said, "Boy, I sure like cheese grits!", Blake says, "I like oatmeal and pancakes." and Seth joins in, "And I like Bambi!"
This morning during our Bible reading at breakfast I was naming off the fruits of the spirit, love, joy, peace...after I said "self-control" Seth interrupted, "Next time I need to have a controller so I can play the movie." (meaning xbox on his uncle's TV) Maybe some day he will have self control enough to NOT play with the controller. ;)
Last one... I was talking to the boys about how they needed to be treating each other. Seth says, "Well, I don't want to be treating, I want to be Sethy". I wish you all could hear them say these things in the cute voice of theirs, it just adds to the humor of what they say!
We have been spending our weekends lately doing projects around the house. Work is still going well for Micah and he continues to enjoy it. Not much else new to report. :)
Hope you all have a good weekend!
Love,
Kari, Micah, Blake, Seth and Owen

April 26th - May 11th, 2013
Hi Everyone!
Our little man is growing strong. He's using his hands more to reach for things. I found him with his hand hanging onto his dangling toy the other day. Looked pretty impressive for him. Although I don't think it was completely purposeful. :)
Micah ran in a 5K race the weekend before last and did great! I've been proud of him making a point to stay physically fit.
Faithful fans...
Seth's favorite ride.. the "Carosef"
Micah and I had a great time in Charleston last weekend for our anniversary. It is such a beautiful place!
Micah has roses waiting for me at the hotel. Did I mention he's the best husband ever?
Neither of us had been to Charleston before. I didn't realized how full of historical landmarks it is. It was neat to walk all over town and see the old houses.
We got to eat at the world famous (so they say) Hyman's Seafood. Lots of famous people have eaten there. I sat at the same table as Neil Armstrong once did and Micah sat where Barbara Streisand did.
We decided not to do a garden this year since we have little Owen to take care of. We did discover some carrot tops coming up from last year that we never harvested. (too bad all garden plants can't be perennials!) We dug one up and surprisingly, it tasted pretty normal. Seth here doing his rabbit impersonation. Not sure if it's on purpose or not. :)
Another highlight of this time of year is getting to go strawberry picking at a local farm. We picked almost 12 pounds of the ruby beauties and hopefully we get to go back a few more times so we can put more in the freezer or (if I'm feeling really ambitious) can some strawberry jam.
As Blake was coming inside from playing, Micah asked him why the back of his shirt was covered in dirt. Blake replied, "I was making an angel in the grass."
While driving through town, Blake asked, "What does KFC spell?".
Hope you all are doing well!
Love,
Kari, Micah, Blake, Seth and Owen
